Vision Statement

Our vision statement is a firm acknowledgement that following God’s will is exciting, challenging, often surprising, but never static. We are called by Jesus Christ to do greater things than He did. Our vision represents our prayerful but incomplete glimpse of how we will participate in the Kingdom of God.

We will honor Scripture by using creative, traditional, ancient and new ways to assist the Holy Spirit in making the word of God alive and active in individuals, families, this community and in the world. Some of the venues that will be used are engaging worship services, special events, age and life appropriate gatherings.

We will teach, train and mentor our people in areas of Biblical study, evangelism, spiritual disciplines, marriage enrichment, Christian parenting, mission involvement and spiritual formation. Seminars, retreats, small groups, classes and spiritual directors are some of the tools we will employ to facilitate growth in these areas. Concentrated attention will be given to youth and children, recognizing the responsibility God gives the Christian community to love and nurture them to Christian maturity.

We will care for our church community through a network of trained caregivers. In addition, each person will be encouraged to be part of a small group designed to be a safe place to share and work on the spiritual struggles and rough edges of life.

We will provide opportunities for all believers in our community to discover and develop their divine designs for ministry and service. Each believer has an important role to play in the ongoing Kingdom of God.

We will love our neighbors through outreach programs, community-focused activities, prayer, acts of kindness and intentional sharing of the living hope we have in Jesus Christ. We will do this personally and through supporting like-minded mission organizations.

We will make room for all people who choose to participate in our worship experiences and our educational and growth opportunities. We are willing to add staff, services, facilities and whatever else is needed to embrace God-led numerical growth. We will also support and encourage growth of the larger Body of Christ by, but no limited to, planting new churches, opening facilities to developing new churches and supporting individuals called to full-time ministry.
