Adults and Families - Ministry Leader: Charlie Heinemann Purpose: To develop and support ministries, through Christian education and discipleship, to encourage and promote the spiritual growth of the families and adults of Faith Fellowship. These activities may include seminars, small groups, adult Sunday School classes, as well as: Women’s Ministry; Men’s Ministry; Family Camp. Targeted events or groups specific for life situations or ages, such as a college group, bereavement support or a single adults group; and evangelism training.
Children, Youth and Sunday School - Ministry Leader: Sharon Heinemann Purpose: To develop and support educational and nurturing activities to help our children and youth come to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and to grow in their knowledge and love of our Lord. Specific ministries that will be coordinated and led by this committee are: Nursery and Toddlers; Sunday School; Faith Fellowship Friends; Faith Fellowship Youth Group (FFYG); Vacation Bible School.
Facilities / Property - Ministry Leaders: Matt McKee & Jay Powell The Property Committee is responsible for oversight of the maintenance, improvement, management and development of the church facility and for managing the resources required to allow efficient and safe operations. The committee also manages the janitorial staff. Main events of the Property committee are: Work party in April just prior to Easter; Work party in June / July; Work party in October. Each of these work parties will take on various outside / inside general cleanup and organizational tasks. There are always several special projects that are included based on the volunteers and their abilities. By far the largest and most extensive of the three work parties is the April event.
Finance - Ministry Leader: David Chicks This committee’s mission is to further God’s work through good stewardship of the funds provided by the tithes and offerings given by the congregation and from various outside sources. The responsibilities of this committee include: oversight of the finances of the church by reviewing and auditing the income and expenses on a monthly basis; preparation of monthly reports of the financial activities for review by the Deacon Board; recommending changes in banking services, including deposit accounts or loans, to the Deacon Board; oversight of the annual budgeting process, working with the Pastor, Elder Chair, all deacons, committee chairpersons, and others as needed, to prepare and complete the budget.
Hospitality - Ministry Leader: Jana Compau Jana and her crew provide opportunities for fellowship -- something we at Faith Fellowship love to do! Monthly pre-worship breakfasts give us time to chat for a little longer on Sunday morning. Other times, the Hospitality Committee provides food for special events and other gathering times.
Missions and Outreach - Ministry Leader: Dan Coffee (interim) The Missions and Outreach Committee serves people around the world and in our own community by helping to meet their spiritual and physical needs and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our goals are: to use our church ‘s designated mission funds wisely by supporting a broad range of missions both locally and internationally; to involve the body of Faith Fellowship in reaching out to our community and the world at large; to obey Christ’s command to go into the world and make disciples for him and offer compassion to those in need. The committee is responsible for: meeting regularly to implement the Purpose Statement of the committee; encouragement of members of Faith Fellowship to seek individual involvement in Missions and Outreach opportunities to which they are called by the Holy Spirit.
Music - Ministry Leaders: Jacquie Moore & Hillary Klauber Our Sunday morning worship service includes a variety of music styles and sounds. The weekly Small Group that leads in musical worship includes members with talents playing piano, guitar, electric guitar, bass, and drums! The Music Ministry also includes Holiday Ensembles for Easter & Christmas! If you are interested in being apart of one of these groups please contact Hillary Klauber.
Pastoral Relations - Ministry Leader: Bob Cooke The Pastoral Relations Committee gathers feedback and affirmation, and annually provides a performance review for the pastor and church. Unresolved grievances can be confidentially directed to the pastoral relations committee.
Special Events - Ministry Leader: Billie Jo Perchla This committee is in charge of all those events that need an extra special touch. In the past this has included the After Easter Breakfast, Harvest Fest, and Make-It-Take-It. Be sure to check out events on the Home Page to see what this group is working on next!
Worship - Ministry Leader: Lynne Nielsen The mission of this committee is to create a Christ-centered worship experience that offers participants the opportunity to praise and glorify God. This purpose is accomplished through articulating and shaping our worship style, directing the planning and preparation for weekly worship, and coordination/communication with other groups of Faith Fellowship. Areas and Responsibilities include: music/music ministry; environment for worship; sound system; pastor’s particular requests for worship; planning and coordination of additional services of worship during the year i.e. Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday/Good Friday, etc.
